  • Farmstay

Glen Davis Road is a bitumen sealed road all the way to our property entrance. The property is exactly 18km from the top of the road at Capertee to the entrance. There is a 750m dirt road from our property entrance to your luxury Glamping tent. You will need to drive over the cattle grids at the top gate to get into the property. This is 2WD accessible.

    Wilderness

The drive from Bathurst to Turondale is via Turondale Road which is a bitumen road. Arriving at the property entrance you will then drive a 3.3km road which is a mixture of dirt and bitumen to our property entrance. The dirt road takes you through a working sheep station and there are a couple of cattle grids and gates you will pass through. This is a 2WD accessible road in all weather conditions. We do ask that you close the gates behind you as you make your way to your escape and respect the animals on the property.

  • As much as we love our furry friends, we are not able to offer pet friendly stays as neither of the properties are suitably fenced to ensure your dog/s do not get out. For the protection of your loved animals, and ours on the property, both the native and stock we do ask you to leave your pets at home during your trip.

  • Yes, bookings at both locations require a minimum of two nights.

  • We acknowledge that for some disconnecting is not an option, unfortunately, wifi is unavailable at both locations for the time being. However, depending on your service provider you will be able to get reception at or around the tents or the tiny house.

  • In order to preserve the atmosphere and continue providing guests with the quiet retreat they seek, Wildnest can only accept children over the age of 14.

Our glamping tents are suitable for a single or couple only as they have one king bed and no provision for twin set up, roll outs or additional bedding.

Our Tiny House at Wilderness has a queen bed and a double bed which would cater for older children.

  • Check in is at 3pm and check out is 10am. Depending on bookings either side of your arrival and departure we are happy to facilitate an early check in and late check out where possible.

We strongly encourage you to do all that you can to arrive at Wilderness property in the daylight to make it an easy and enjoyable experience. As you are passing through a working sheep station there are a number of gates that you will need to open and close and these are best navigated during the daylight until you are familiar with the property. It would also be a shame to arrive at the property in darkness and miss the amazing views on offer as you drive to your accommodation. Detailed arrival instructions are provided closer to your arrival date.

  • No you don’t and there is no charge for the wood we provide to you. You will quickly see that time around the fire is an important part of our experiences and we will ensure there is plenty of wood. For those who are not used to lighting fires, we will provide you with all that you need including fail proof instructions to ensure you are toasty warm during your stay.

    • Cancellation Over 30 Days Before Arrival: Guests may cancel their reservation up to 30 days before arrival and receive a refund or credit, less a $50 administration fee and any applicable booking/merchant fees.

    • Cancellation Within 30 Days of Arrival: Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will incur a charge equal to the first night's accommodation.

    • Cancellations Due to Government Travel Bans: If a government-imposed travel ban (e.g., COVID-19 restrictions) prevents you from travelling, you will receive full credit to use for a future stay. Please note that refunds will not be issued in this circumstance.

    • Property-Related Cancellations: In the rare instance that Wildnest Wilderness is deemed unsuitable for your stay (e.g., due to unforeseen property issues), a full refund will be provided.

  • Our glamping tents and tiny home are fully equipped which means you can do your own cooking and prepare meals during your stay. You will find the essentials that you would normally expect such as cooking oil, salt and pepper, tea and coffee, pots and pans for your stay. There is a BBQ at each accommodation and a small fridge for supplies.

    Farmstay

We recommend grabbing your supplies on your way through Lithgow as this will be the closest town during your stay. The towns of Rylstone, Kandos and Mudgee are great to explore and offer many choices for lunch or dinner should you wish.

For a good local pub meal, you can’t go past The Royal Hotel at Capertee which is 15 mins drive up the road. For a great coffee and lunch, we highly recommend From the Paddock which is a 10 minute drive towards Glen Davis.

    Wilderness

Bathurst is only 25 mins from the property and is a large regional town offering food, wine, restaurants and major shopping centres.

  • Due to the remoteness of the property and insurance limitations we do NOT allow ANY kind of motorsport on the property. This includes but is not limited to Motorbikes, ATV’s & Dirt Bikes.

  • To ensure all guests are provided with the quiet retreat they seek, please note that the use of drones without the express permission of the Wildnest team is prohibited. Should you wish to use a drone during your stay, simply contact the team prior to arrival and we can advise depending on guest occupancy if that is permitted.
