A Week to Think at TinyNest
Some of the best thinking does not happen at a boardroom table.
It happens somewhere quieter. Somewhere with space between you and the usual rhythm of the week. Away from the emails, meetings and small interruptions that can make it hard to hear your own thoughts.
That is why we have created A Week to Think at TinyNest.
From now until the end of the year, excluding NSW school holidays, Monday to Sunday stays at TinyNest are available from $1,500. It is a week designed for focus, clarity and a slower kind of productivity, set within the private bushland of Wildnest Wilderness in Turondale near Bathurst.
It is not a corporate retreat in the traditional sense. There are no breakout rooms, no name tags and no fixed agenda. Just fresh country air, quiet mornings, a crackling fire, long walks and the kind of stillness that lets ideas surface naturally.
Whether you are refining a strategy, writing, planning your next chapter or simply looking for uninterrupted time to think, A Week to Think gives you the space to step back and see things more clearly.
Why take a week to think?
Most working weeks are built around response.
Replying to emails. Attending meetings. Solving problems. Moving from one thing to the next without much room to pause.
That can be useful for getting through the day, but it is not always where the best thinking happens. Bigger ideas often need space. Strategy needs quiet. Writing needs rhythm. Decisions need enough distance from the noise to become clear.
A Week to Think is designed for people who need that distance.
It may suit business owners, founders, writers, leaders, creatives or anyone carrying a project that needs more than another hour between meetings. It is also for people navigating change, planning what comes next, or simply feeling like they need a different kind of week.
You are still close enough to check in when needed, but far enough away for the days to feel different.
What is TinyNest?
TinyNest is a secluded off-grid tiny house at Wildnest Wilderness in Turondale, around 30 minutes from Bathurst. Set within 800 acres of private bushland, it is designed for couples, small families, adventurous stays and guests seeking a tiny house near Bathurst with space, stillness and a deeper connection to nature.
TinyNest sleeps up to four guests across two queen lofts. That makes it flexible for a solo working week, a couple wanting time away, or a small family joining at the end of the stay.
The setting is intentionally simple. You have the comfort of a thoughtfully designed tiny house, but without the constant pull of the usual workplace. There is a fire, fresh air, open space and room to shape the week in the way that suits you best.
A working week, without the workplace noise
This is not about working harder.
It is about creating the conditions for better thinking.
You might spend the mornings writing, mapping ideas or reviewing a plan. You might take long walks when you get stuck. You might work in short blocks and let the afternoon be slower. You might invite a colleague for a day of planning, or use the week entirely on your own.
The point is not to fill every hour. The point is to give your mind enough space to make connections it cannot always make when you are surrounded by notifications and deadlines.
There is no Wi-Fi at TinyNest. There is phone reception, so you can still check in with your team if you need to. Reception is generally strong enough for Zoom meetings, but we would not recommend using the week that way. The real value of A Week to Think is the chance to disconnect from the digital workplace and use the change of scenery properly.
If you need to check in, you can. But the invitation is to keep those check-ins short and intentional, then return to the work that needs your full attention.
Bring the family for the weekend
A Week to Think does not need to look the same for everyone.
You might come alone from Monday to Friday, then have your partner and children join you for the weekend. You might use the first few days for deep work, then let the end of the week become family time. Or you might come as a couple and use the week to plan, reset and talk through what is next.
TinyNest sleeps up to four guests across two queen lofts, so there is room to shape the stay around your life rather than leaving everyone out of it.
For many people, this is what makes the week feel possible. You can create genuine space for thinking, without needing to disappear completely from the people who matter most.
What to expect from an off-grid stay
TinyNest is off-grid, which is part of what makes the experience so valuable.
The stay is designed to help you slow down and use power consciously. You are living closer to the rhythms of the property: the sun, the weather, the fire, the quiet of the bushland and the practical limits of an off-grid system.
It is not difficult, but it does ask for a little more awareness than a standard hotel stay. That awareness is part of the shift. You notice what you use. You plan the day more simply. You spend less time trying to recreate your usual environment and more time letting this one do what it does best.
Guests staying at Wildnest Wilderness should also plan their arrival carefully. AWD or 4WD is recommended, and low-clearance vehicles are not suitable, especially in wet weather. We strongly encourage guests to arrive during daylight.
This is not a city stay with a country view. It is a private bushland escape, and arriving prepared helps you relax once you are here.
Who is A Week to Think for?
A Week to Think is for anyone who needs quiet, focus and a fresh perspective.
It may be especially useful if you are:
refining a business strategy
writing or editing a significant piece of work
planning a new project
thinking through a career or life transition
reviewing the year so far
preparing for what comes next
needing time away from constant interruption
It is not about being unreachable. It is about being less available to the noise, so you can be more available to the work that matters.
Sometimes the most useful investment is not another meeting, another course or another day in front of the same screen.
Sometimes it is a week with fewer distractions and more space to think.
